Quick Fact: Reactive dogs are what got us started working with dogs! We have rehabilitated thousands and thousands of dogs, helped countless owners, rescue organization and we couldn't be more thrilled that our positive influence has helped so many!
One of the most important aspects of what we do is keeping up to date with new changes, new psychological discoveries, new approaches in training...this constant thirst for knowledge and improvement has had a huge impact on our reactive dog program. We've just updated this program and are very excited to share with you a program that excels at its purpose, taking the reactive out of your dog!
Designed for those that love their dogs, but that are having difficult times because their dog is reactive. These classes are also great if you are a professional trainer or enthusiast looking to enhance your skill sets and knowledge when working with these cases.
Working with reactive dogs is not easy because it requires awareness and to address behaviours by "feel." This "feel" comes from an understanding of how dogs communicate emotions such as fear, stress, excitement and anxiety. Our goal is that you develop the skills and knowledge necessary to address these behaviours safely and responsibly. This course starts from the ground up, breaking down the process into progressive steps that will help you develop your intuition and feel. You will gain a sound understanding of dog psychology and the reasons behind leash reactive behaviour. Once this is clear we work on management and techniques necessary to establish a strong and stable foundation of training and application of dog language. Learning these tangible skills will prepare you for success and allow you to tackle the issues head-on.
