At Canine Valley we take care of canines and the people that are in their lives.
One of the most effective ways to help your dog is to help yourself. Your dog is a reflection of yourself in many ways, be calm, they are calm, be stressed, agitated, anxious and your dog will be demonstrating back your emotions in his or her own doggie way like being aggressive, barking etc.
We have developed two programs which are unique to our centre and truly create lasting peace of mind for both yourself, your dog and others in your life. The magic occurs when you are happy and you are doing the things that make you feel good. You deserve to be happy!
Let us get you started! The first step is to understand that we all need to heal in order to be happy and feel good. Healing is a fascinating process which is generally very poorly understood, it is not only physical but also mental, it involves knowing how to acquire the life you want. Although it may be tempting to believe that we can heal other people, it is of utmost importance to realise that all healing is self-healing. The body has an extraordinary intelligence and ability to heal itself and to create what you want. Given the right energetic, emotional, nutritional, and spiritual environments, the natural state of the body is perfect health, this means emotional control too. Our favourite definition of a healer is someone who was sick and got well; a great healer is someone who was very sick and got well quickly. Although all healing is self-healing, we can assist you with your own healing process, whether this process is psychological, emotional, or physical.

Shinrin-Yoku

Your Dog is your guide she sends a message to you about the way you live and about the way you are choosing to be. She says get out of your chair, your office, your couch and go out and explore the world. This is emotional freedom to be able to explore the world with childlike curiosity without being bounded by emotional chains and triggers.
The key to emotional freedom is awareness, awareness of yourself (physically, mentally and spiritually), awareness of others, and awareness of your environment. When you are aware you can choose to respond in accordance with what is best and really enjoy the present moment. The best place to begin becoming aware is in nature. Being in Nature makes you strong, huge. It is in nature that you discover your strength. From zero to ten you find your tenderness, your connectedness and your freedom. Nature allows you to begin to see the profound interdependence of all things. This opens the door to profound relationships with yourself and others that you may not have previously experienced. Awareness is based on mindful presence, which often means getting out of your ordinarily hyperactive mind and begin being really present. Shinrin-Yoku is spending time in nature in a way that invites mindfulness and healing. It is called forest bathing. A Shinrin-Yoku session exposes you to nature and stimulates your senses to release tension. You are guided through several exercises to improve your psychological, physical and emotional being stimulating you to release that which does not serve you and create that which you want to be, feel, and see in your life. Shinrin-Yoku is experiencing nature in an integrated manner, letting go, and being fully present. Our Shinrin-Yoku program includes 3 sessions the first session is at the comfort of your house and it is the foundation to the remainder sessions. During this session, we teach you basic psychology, a few exercises, and develop your program establishing clear achievable goals. Throughout your program, you will be given a few fun assignments that will help you clarify things. A great option for those who are outside of our service area and need assistance is our Phone Consultation. During these sessions, we can help you develop a plan of action to work with the challenges that you are having with your dog. This is an extremely effective way to work with your dog if you are willing to take copious notes. It is best to have specific questions ready when working with us. This will allow us to use our time effectively. We also help you by sending you pertinent information to your particular case. This works well for a variety of behaviours such as hyperactivity, anxiety, fearfulness, and more.
