FOSTER A SERVICE/THERAPY DOG
Our mission is to raise and train extraordinary dogs to serve as life changing partners for people in need.

To give them the best possible start, we place some of our puppies, young dogs and adult breeding dogs in carefully selected foster homes. These homes provide a loving, stable environment. This program is a vital step in shaping confident, well-mannered dogs ready to succeed in their future roles.

Why We Foster

A family home offers experiences which are very enriching and hard to replicate day-to-day interactions in a training facility. By partnering with dedicated foster families, we:
  • Give dogs valuable exposure to real-life settings and routines.
  • Ensure they develop strong bonds with people in a home environment.
Your care and commitment directly contribute to a dog’s readiness for their future work — you are part of creating a hero.

Criteria for Selection
Because these dogs are being prepared for important, life-changing work, we have high standards for foster families.
Applicants must:
  • Provide a stable and secure home with a consistent daily routine.
  • Live from Whistler to Greater Vancouver Area and able to participate in weekly training sessions which are held in different environments in these locations.
  • Be able to follow training instructions from our team.
  • Commit to the agreed fostering period (short-term or long-term depending on the dog’s stage)
  • Have no history of animal neglect or abuse.
  • Offer a safe environment free from hazards, with any other pets being very well-socialized with calm temperaments.

What to Expect as a Foster
  • Have a wonderful pup in your life.
  • While it’s never easy to say goodbye when your foster dog moves on to their next chapter, the pride of knowing you’ve helped them become a lifeline for someone in need is immeasurable.
  • Provide daily care, socialization, and reinforce the skills we teach.
  • Receive ongoing support from our trainers, with guidance for every stage.
