Therapy Dog Program

DONATE TODAY
At Canine Valley we train everyday with dogs, we play, do agility, go hiking, socialize in the pack, learn new skills, however our Therapy Dog Program is what excites us the most. Dogs are natural therapists, our bonds have been growing for the past 15,000 years and it is on this foundation that we build on, what dogs already know and understand about us naturally.

The core of our therapy program comes from our Dog Mastery Course; this builds the foundation that lasts a lifetime.  Our canine students, owners and ourselves are truly passionate about this program; it brings all involved a deep sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. Dogs are considered our best friends for a very good reason.

Our Therapy Dog Program is excellent for helping with: Anxiety, depression, PTSD, attention deficient disorder, autism, panic attacks and also with the ability for self-healing and improving general well being from children, seniors, veterans and many others. We work closely with families that have a family member(s) requiring a therapy dog and create family plans to accommodate specific needs. As every person and their needs are different, so is their training, we create unique programs, custom tailored to fit those needs.
PERSONAL THERAPY PROGRAM Building a personalized training program for individual or family needs.
Nothing is more rewarding than having a trained therapy pup at one's side. Together with our team of canine experts, we will embark on an amazing journey. We train at our specifically designed centre located in Squamish, British Columbia and travel from Pemberton to greater Vancouver and accept international requests.

Depending on the nature of training, we can expect about 1 year for solid foundation work, followed up by interval training throughout the following year. If you do not have that amount of time to commit, then we have several therapy dogs currently in training.

All of our therapy dogs go through our Amazing Dog Foundation Series and are constantly on the go throughout communities to hospitals, schools and from time-to-time as a mascot in a local businesses.

Regardless of the reason for needing a therapy dog, we will work with you to create the needed foundation required for success. As all of our programs are 100% customized dependant on your needs, we invite you to contact us or even better, schedule a visit so you can meet us in person.

We have both our own pack of therapy dogs, our canine family that goes out into into communities bringing healing, laughter and wellness. We also train dogs, for emotional support, therapy and service. We work one on one with families and institutions to create personalized plans for PTSD, mobility issues, mental support, seizures, autism and other concerns. ♥
